AROUND THE CHAPTERS AND ONLINE

Upcoming Events

NAWIC chapters independently host and organise a number of events throughout the year, site visits, speakers, networking events, fundraising or 'cause' focused events and more. Some events are also organised at a national level.

To avoid missing out, please ensure you register for any event you wish to attend. Events may be restricted in numbers, have waitlists or are catered, so it is appreciated if you can advise the chapter if you can't make it as early as possible. (Cancellation details will be posted on the ticket platform)

If you are not yet a member and would like to join, please visit our membership page here.

Travel for Work?

As a NAWIC member, you can still attend events in other regions. Please be sure to contact the host chapter and advise which chapter your membership is registered with. Any event fees will be payable.

NAWIC Australia

This also includes our NAWIC friends across the Tasman Sea! So, if you are travelling to Australia and have some spare time, they'd love to see you at any of their events! (Any event fees will be payable)

Health and Safety at NAWIC Events

NAWIC is a voluntary organisation, committed to its obligations as a PCBU under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.   Amongst other things, this requires NAWIC to take all practicable steps to eliminate, isolate or minimize hazards that our event attendees are exposed to. Health and safety is a shared responsibility.

To discharge this duty,

NAWIC event organisers will:

  • consult, co-ordinate and co-operate with the event host to identify and address potential risks and hazards, and ensure a healthy and safe environment for all our NAWIC attendees.
  • ensure the safety requirements relating to the particular site/premises, including emergency and evacuation procedures, are fully explained to attendees at the commencement of proceedings.

Attendee Responsibilities:

  • All NAWIC attendees must ensure that they comply with all instructions given by the owner or host of the premise or building contractor in charge of the site and that their actions do not endanger themselves or others.
  • NAWIC attendees shall inform a NAWIC representative of any observed operceived risks or hazards while attending an event.

Past Events

Each year our chapters hold a wide range of events from seminars and speaker events to networking and site visits.

Past event invitations can be also viewed on each Chapter Events Page - click on the Past button in Humanitix to view.

One of our most popular events, held annually in each chapter, is our Hands on with Hirepool event. NAWIC members get the chance to try out scissor lifts, excavators, powder actuated tools from Hilti and more. A huge thank you to Hirepool for their ongoing support of this event.

Check out the video below from the Tāmaki Makaurau/Auckland Chapter's 2020 event to see why it's so popular.
