What is your current title for work?

Architectural Graduate

When did you start in the construction industry:

2022

When did you decide working in construction was the thing you wanted to do:

When I was younger, one of my Guide leaders worked in architecture, and seeing the way she combined creativity with technical problem-solving sparked my interest. Ever since, I’ve been drawn to the industry and architecture in particular, because it lets me blend creative thinking with hands-on problem-solving.

What are you most passionate about?

I’m passionate about creating buildings and spaces that foster connection and allow people to express themselves. It’s rewarding to witness how our designs inspire interaction and create meaningful memories for those who use these spaces.

Why did you join NAWIC?

I was encouraged to join NAWIC by my Director, Andrea and fully supported to volunteer for a committee role too. For me, NAWIC has offered numerous opportunities to meet new people with such broad construction expertise, visit incredible sites, and expand my knowledge of the industry through the experiences and perspectives of others.

What would you like to see for the future of women in construction?

I would like to see equal opportunities for career progression, along with support and flexibility to help women thrive in the industry. It's important that women feel confident, welcomed, and valued in all aspects of construction.
