When did you start in the construction industry:

2020

When did you decide working in construction was the thing you wanted to do:

I enjoyed the process of construction from technical details to execution. I also have an architectural background and experience working for residential and commercial fit-outs but was more inclined towards technical drawings and specifications.

What are you most passionate about?

Construction solutions and analysis. And a bit of running and hiking!

Why did you join NAWIC?

I attended one of the industry events hosted by NAWIC and really enjoyed the experience and all the work behind it. Got in touch to volunteer during events, meet senior leaders within the industry and support women in construction.

What would you like to see for the future of women in construction?

An increase in the percentage of women in the workforce across pre-construction and construction services, and the industry actively supporting and encouraging girls to pursue a career in construction.

Words of wisdom or tips for women at the start of or considering a career in construction:

I’d strongly encourage working across sectors within the industry to find what interests you the most and try to build a professional network early on.
