Your current organisation for work:

Assemble Recruitment

How many years have you been in the construction industry:

I have been recruiting in the Construction industry for over 7 years

When did you decide working in construction was the thing you wanted to do:

From the moment I entered the recruitment world, my focus has been on the construction industry. Construction is an exciting industry, and I love how it plays a key role in shaping the spaces we live, work, and play in. Helping create environments that contribute to fun and fulfilling lifestyles is something I’m passionate about.

What are you most passionate about?

I’m passionate about building strong relationships and really understanding what makes people tick. My goal is to match talented individuals with roles that not only meet their career

aspirations but also provide an exciting next step in their journey within the construction industry.

Why did you join NAWIC?

After relocating back to Canterbury, I saw NAWIC as a fantastic organisation to connect with like-minded women across the industry. I also love how NAWIC empowers women in

construction, and I’m a strong advocate for recruiting more women into the industry!

What would you like to see for the future of women in construction?

It would be great to see more women in construction across all levels from skilled trades to executive leadership. Traditionally, women have been underrepresented in Construction and for me it’s exciting to be able to play a part in empowering women to progress and take on senior and leadership roles in construction.

Words of wisdom or tips for women at the start of or considering a career in construction:

Don’t be afraid to give it a go and get involved! The construction industry offers a wide range of fascinating and rewarding careers. Connect with people, ask questions, and try new things! No matter your background, your skillset is valuable—it’s just about finding the right fit.

What is your favourite thing to do for fun:

I enjoy playing touch rugby and rugby union, competing in dog shows with my Cairn Terrier,

discovering new bars and restaurants, and jet-setting to explore new travel destinations.
