When did you start working in construction?

2003

When did you decide working in construction was the thing you wanted to do?

When my parents built our family home in 1997. I loved seeing that process from the beginning.

What are you most passionate about?

Doing the best job I can for my clients/colleagues and building a reputation for being great at what I do, and how I go about it.

Why did you join NAWIC?

Because I really want to encourage women to be at the forefront of an industry that has always been traditionally male dominated.

What would you like to see for the future of women in construction?

More women in the industry in general, and in particular in roles of higher responsibility, particularly in site management for large projects, which I think is lacking at times.

Words of wisdom or tips for women at the start of or considering a career in construction:

Don’t let yourself be intimidated by any male counterparts. Your knowledge/opinion is just as valid as theirs.

What is your favourite thing to do for fun?

Hanging out with good friends, going to Crossfit and drinking coffee.
